The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) has developed a method known as One Skill Retake. Once implemented, if someone who sat for an IELTS test and failed to get the desired scores in one of the IELTS modules, he/she will have the opportunity to retake a test for that particular module instead of taking the whole test.
